Government of Gujarat has launched the e-Nagar project to bring all the Urban Local Bodies at par on a standard platform with reference to e-governance and m-governance. A centralized solution is anticipated to bring citizen centric services and solution for ULBs along side tailoring of existing applications of varied Municipal corporations/ULBs to the present centralized platform.


In this context, Urban Development & Urban Housing Department has appointed Gujarat Urban Development Mission as a Nodal Agency for e-Nagar Project. Total 170 locations (162 Municipalities and eight Municipal Corporations) are covered in eNagar Project.


eNagar Project covers 10 Modules with 52 services as below:

Central government to launch e-shram portal

 Database of unorganized workers will be ready

 The central government will start the e-shram portal to prepare a database of workers in the unorganized sector.  According to official information, the e-shram portal will be launched on 26 August 2021.  With this initiative of the government, the benefits of all social security schemes will reach all the unorganized workers of the country.



 Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has released the logo of e-shram portal on Tuesday.  Through which the government aims to register 38 crore workers of the unorganized sector.  Apart from construction workers, this includes migrant workers, street vendors and domestic workers.

After the launch of the portal, workers of the unorganized sector can register themselves.  For which registration can be done through your Aadhar card number along with filling the necessary details like date of birth, home town, mobile number and social category.  After which an e-shram card will be issued to the workers.  In which there will be a 12 digit unique number.

 Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav informed that along with the launch of the portal, a national toll free number 14434 will also be started to help the workers in getting the registration done.  Its purpose is to integrate the social security schemes of the government.

Co-WIN – Government of India App for Vaccinators providing COVID-19 Vaccination


The year 2021 has begun with the good news of the covid vaccine.  Covishield and covacin vaccines have been approved.  The CoWIN app has been launched by the Union Ministry of Health to make the vaccine reach the people.  This app will help in real time monitoring of vaccine delivery.  Through the app, the government will be able to keep the data of vaccinated people safe.

Vaccination will be done after registration on this app.  However, the app is currently not available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.  According to some reports, the production work of this app has not been completed yet.

What is the CoWIN app?

5 modules of the Covin app

From this app the vaccination process will work on a platform for administrative activities, vaccination personnel and all those who are about to be vaccinated.  It includes Administrative Module, Registration Module, Vaccination Module, Beneficiary Acceptance Module and Report Module.

Administrative Module: The people who will manage the vaccination event.  They will determine the session through this module.  It will provide information to vaccinators and providers through notifications.

Vaccination module: will verify the information of people who have registered for vaccination and will also provide status update.

Beneficiary Acceptance Module: It will send a message to the recipients of the vaccine.  It will also generate a QR code and people will also get an e-certificate of the vaccine.

Report Module: The report of the vaccination program will be prepared through it.  Such as how many vaccination sessions were held, how many people got vaccinated, how many people registered but did not get vaccinated etc.





This Mobile Application is currently meant for CoWIN Facility level users to perform following tasks as Vaccinator , Supervisors and Surveyors.

1) Beneficiary Registration: supported identified priority group by Government of India, Beneficiary are often registered on the appliance .

2) Beneficiary Verification: Beneficiary's relevant details are often captured in encrypted form which may be utilised to make sure that vaccine is run to relevant Beneficiary. this is often applicable at the time of registration also as vaccination. Read also: Kutumb sahay yojna / Sankat Mochan Yojan

3) Aadhaar Authentication: to make sure de-duplication , Beneficiary's Aadhaar authentication are often done from the appliance within the sort of OTP and Demographic Authentication. this is often applicable at the time of registration or at the time of validation.

4) Vaccination Status: supported dose schedule, vaccination status of Beneficiary are often updated from not vaccinated to partially vaccinated and partially vaccinated to vaccination completion.

Ration card

Generally, every family residing within the state has the right to get a ration card. For this, the head of the family has to give full details in the prescribed form prescribed by the state government and apply to the office of the Taluka Mamlatdar / Zonal Officer of his area with supporting evidence. As per the provisions of the Citizen's Charter, the Taluka Mamlatdar Shri / Zonal Officer has to check the application of the applicant and as per the requirement, determine the category of the card, obtain the photos and biometric details of the head of the family / members, issue a barcoded ration card. Under the Barcoded Ration Card Scheme, the cardholder has to visit the e-gram / cybercafe on the basis of their biometric details and get the barcoded coupons of the quantity of essential items to be found according to the category of their card. Personal coupons are printed out on all items available to cardholders on A-3 size barcoded coupon sheets.

Promotion Company Ltd. (GLPC) and in urban areas by Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GULM). the most objective of this scheme is to make 1 lakh Joint Liability Earnings and Savings Group (JLESG) and make 10 lakh women independent by encouraging joint economic activity through these groups.

Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana Gujarat 2020

Rupani government committed to form Gujarat’s women power self-reliant and self-sufficient, quite 1 million mothers and sisters within the state are going to be given loans at 0% interest to start out their own small business, home industry, business.

A total of 10 lakh mothers and sisters of 1 lakh women’s group will get the advantage of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana

50,000 women from rural and same number of girls from urban areas are going to be covered during this scheme. The scheme are going to be executed at rural side by Gujarat Livelihood Promotion company which works under Rural Development department of Gujarat government. In urban areas, an equivalent scheme are going to be implemented by Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission which functions under the Urban Development department of the government.

The main features of this scheme are as follows

(1) If each group pays regular installment under this scheme, Rs. Provision has been made to pay interest above Rs. 1 lakh from the govt .

(2) Under the scheme, 60,000 JLESGs are going to be covered in rural areas and 50,000 in urban areas. during which the quantity of interest are going to be paid by the govt to the lending institutions on behalf of the women’s group.

(3) For successful implementation of this scheme, nationalized banks, rural banks, co-operative banks, private banks, co-operative societies and RBI Other recognized credit institutions – MFIs also will be promoted by the govt . (May change subject to change)

On 15 August 2016, the Prime Minister of the country announced Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).  This plan is the largest health insurance plan in the world.  Under this scheme, about 100 million families of the country i.e. about 200 million people will get health insurance of Rs 5 lakh every year.  An estimated 8 crore rural families and 2.4 crore urban families will get the benefit of this scheme. Thus about 90% of the population of the country will get health insurance. After that, an OTP will be received on your mobile number, enter it and click on the “Submit” button.

Then, on the next page, first, select your state and then the category –

Search by name

Search by Mobile Number

Search by Ration Card Number

Search by RSBY URN

After that, click search

Then, a “search result” will appear on the right. Select your family and click on “Family Details”.

After this, your family details will appear on your screen along with the family member details and HHD number. You can also download and print this information.

How to check your name

You can check online whether your name is in PMJAY scheme or not.  For this you have to open the website of mera.pmjay.gov.in.


After opening the website, enter your mobile number and the security code provided in the box provided there.  Then click on Generate OTP button so that an OTP will come on your mobile.  Input this OTP on the website and click on Submit button.

Doing so will open another page, in which you have to select your state.  You will then be given 4 options to search for your name, name, ration card number, mobile number and RSBY URN number.  Select any one of the options and enter the details accordingly and click on the Search button

How to get benefit?

Beneficiary does not need any special card for PMJAY scheme.  Beneficiaries will have a "Living Help Desk" in every government as well as private hospital associated with the scheme to establish their identity only.  Where the beneficiary has to prove his eligibility by giving documents.  Once the eligibility is proved, the beneficiary does not have to spend a single rupee for treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.

Major Diseases and Surgeries covered in Ayushman Bharat Yojana In Ayushman Bharat Yojana, every poor citizen of the country will get the benefit of major diseases and major operations as well as the procedure performed in the hospital free of cost.  

The operation includes bypass surgery, cataract, corneal grafting, orthoplasty, chest fracture, urological surgery, cesarean delivery, dialysis, spine surgery, brain tumor surgery as well as various cancer surgeries.  A total of 1350 types of surgeries, examinations and procedures will benefit.  The scheme will also benefit women who come from poor families after marriage as well as newborns. Ayushman Mitra will help Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a special person named Ayushman Mitra has been appointed in each hospital by the National Health Agency to help the citizens admitted in the hospital.  

Ayushman Mitra will help complete all the procedures from admission to discharge of the patient and will also act as a link between the hospital, the government and the insurance company.

All the transactions will be paperless-cashless, the amount will be credited to the beneficiary's account only. All the transactions related to the patient in Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana will be paperless and cashless.  For this, through the participation of the Policy Commission, an IT  The platform will be operational. In addition, the amount received by the beneficiary will be credited directly to the account through direct debit transfer.  The Central Government will bear 60 per cent of the cost and the State Government will bear 40 per cent of the cost.
