Once the scheme is implemented, a person from any state can buy cheap food grains from anywhere. If one has a ration card, it is as necessary as a PAN card and an Aadhaar card. You do not need to worry if you do not have a ration card. You can apply for a ration card online using a smartphone sitting at home. For this, each state has created its own website. This allows you to apply for a ration card by going to the website of any state where you live.

A Ration Card is a proof of citizenship in India that provides entitlement to the food and basic requirements at reasonable rates by the Public Distribution System. After Aadhaar Card, Ration Card is amongst the most coveted ID proofs/documents for anyone's citizenship in India. This ID proof is provided and validated by the state governmen

These are the conditions for making ration card

• A person must be a citizen of India to produce a ration card.
• The person should not have a ration card from another state.
• The person in whose name the ration card is being issued should be above 18 years of age.
• Parents of children under the age of 18 should be in the ration card.
• A family has a ration card in the name of the head of the family.
• The members who are included in the ration card need to have a close relationship with the main person.
• Each member of the family should not have a name in any other ration card first.
•  The UP government gives Rs 6,000 annually as help to the widow.

• To create a ration card, first go to the official website of the state.

• Aadhaar card, water ID, health card, passport, driving license can be given in ID proof for making ration card,
• Fees range from Rs 5 to Rs 45. Fill it out and submit.
• After the field verification, if you have given the correct information, your ration card will be made in 30 days.
