The syllabus of Std 9 to 12 Syllabue is reduce by state government


In the situation of coVID-19, the decision of the state government to reduce the standard 9 to 12 curriculum in the interest of the students.

The press release of the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education states that  Meetings were held at Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in the presence of Education Department officials on 3/09/2020, 20/2040 and 11 / g3 / 3060 to consider reducing working days and curriculum. 



A meeting was held at STTI, Gandhinagar on 9/06/2018 under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Minister of Education to consider this matter.  



In which academics as well as experts and officials of different disciplines were present.  

Due to the situation of Kovid-12 in the above meetings, real educational work could not be done in the schools but the work of imparting education to the students through online education has been done through different mediums.  

In the current situation, the curriculum has been reduced by the BSE as well as other state boards, as well as submissions have been received from students and parents.  


Considering the overall situation in depth, in the current situation of COVID-19, in the interest of the students, the recognition of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education by the State Government It has been decided to reduce the curriculum in Std. 9th to 12th for the academic year 2020-21 in all the schools by an estimated 30%.  Read also: Gunotsav 2.O Talim paper solution

So that the stress of the students can be reduced and the students of Std. 10 and 12 can prepare well for the board exams.  The issues reduced from the syllabus of Std-9 to 1 are reduced for the purpose of examination i.e. those issues have been canceled from the syllabus.  Read also: School open from 15th october

Questions will not be asked from them in the examination, but in the academic interest of the students, the teachers will have to impart the knowledge of this issue to the students.  

This will be applicable only for the academic year 2020-21.  While reducing the syllabus, care has been taken to ensure that leaked chapters / topics are not canceled and students do not face any difficulty in the competitive examination. Read also: Big news about navratri unlock 5

A detailed circular in this regard will be issued by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.  

In which the details of the ongoing chapters and issues in the syllabus of Std-9 to 12 subjects as well as the chapters / issues canceled from the syllabus will be sent to all the schools accredited by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board through all the District Education Officers.  

These details will also be placed on the board’s website.
