Ghehraiyaan Movie Review,Cast and Ratings:From Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna in 2006, when many audiences couldn’t wrap their brains around the notion of finding love after marriage, to now, in 2022, when a film like Gehraiyaan looks deep into the reasons why couples break down, it’s been a long and winding road.
Deepika-film Ananya’s ‘Ghehraiyaan’ has a similar theme, but the film’s fabric is formed around modern society’s inconsistencies. In such a circumstance, the director reasoned that the picture would be widespread by including some excellent Deepika smooch sequences, but this formula does not appear to be functioning correctly.
Ghehraiyaan Movie plot
Alisha (Deepika) and Tia (Ananya Pandey) are cousins. Once upon a time, their fathers Vinod (Naseeruddin Shah) and Jitesh (Rajat Kapoor) used to do business together in Mumbai. Still, one day Vinod moves to Nashik with his daughter and wife, separating both cousins. She finally sees her guy buddies after years apart. Tia’s boyfriend Jane (Siddhant) is a reality-show businesswoman.

In contrast, Alisha’s live-in lover Karan (Patira) is a failing writer who quits his work at an ad firm and tries to make a name for himself by publishing a book. In such a circumstance, Alisha, who is also paying for the boyfriend who came on Jane’s boat for a vacation, falls victim to her flirting. She also desired a backer for her yoga software.
Ghehraiyaan Movie Review
Since there are performers like Deepika Padukone, Rajat Kapoor, and Naseeruddin Shah, the movie’s level of performance has remained consistent. Ananya has a lot more to learn. Even though this film might have easily been cut down to two hours, the filmmaker committed these two errors, and as a result, many individuals may find this film derailed.
Keeping the movie’s first half unreasonably sluggish and then making the second half as rapid as a crime thriller, lengthening the movie by at least half an hour because of Deepika’s increased attention in the second film. Yes, there haven’t been as many memorable sequences in Ananya’s role.
Shakun’s narrative, which he co-wrote with Sumit Roy, Ayesha Devitre, and Yash Sahai, has a good heart but falls short in several places. You’re frequently left asking ‘why,’ ‘how,’ and ‘is that it?’ Some questions are left unsolved, while others are presumed to be resolved.
Characters in this film move on with their lives, never wishing to know what truly transpired. Despite these weaknesses, Gehraiyaan delves into the complexities of relationships and the lengths one will go to save or destroy them.
Nothing remains if Deepika is taken from this film. Another tricky part of the film is the language. Shakun Batra is known for crafting young films, but you should laugh even if it is a bit amusing in every conversation or moment, and she fails to do so. Huh. Songs and background music are also used to pass the time or to make the picture more emotional or romantic, so you may not notice it while viewing the film.
Also, the film portrays Deepika and Ananya, who are 13 years apart in real life, as contemporary, which is a tremendous stretch to swallow. Dhairya Karwa gets the worst deal as he drifts in and out of the picture like a bit of twig in the air floating aimlessly.
The film’s pace works in its favour since it doesn’t linger or try to lose track of time. While the characters struggle to resolve conflicts in their life, you become engrossed in the plot. Keep an eye out for Deepika, who has genuinely excelled herself once again.
