Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), is a flagship scheme of Government of India to provide cashless secondary and tertiary care treatment from the empanelled public and private hospitals providing coverage to more than 10 crore poor and vulnerable beneficiary families.


National Health Authority (NHA) is the apex body responsible for the implementation of Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY.


We are pleased to announce the launch of official mobile application for citizens to:
• Get easy access to information about PMJAY
• Check eligibility
• Search empanelled hospitals

On 7th August, the Prime Minister of the country announced Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). This plan is the largest health insurance plan in the world. Under this scheme, about 10 crore households in the country, ie about 10 crore people, will get 5 lakh health insurance every year. An estimated 8 crore rural households and 2.4 million urban households will benefit from this scheme. Similarly, about 5% of the population of the country will get health insurance.
Who will benefit from the scheme?

The benefit of the scheme will be for all the families identified as poor during the year 1 census. There is no limit to the size of the family or the size of the scheme. And yes the people / families who have become poor after 5 will not benefit from this scheme!
How to check your name

You can check online whether your name is in the PMJAY plan. For this you have to open mera.pmjay.gov.in website.

After the website is open, put your mobile number and security code provided in the box there. Then click on Generate OTP button so an OTP will appear on your mobile. Input this OTP on the website and click on Submit button.

Doing so will open another page in which your state will be selected. Then there are 4 options for searching your name, by name, by ration card number, by mobile number and by RSBY URN number. Select any one of the options and click on the Search button.

If this is your name in the scheme, then after a few minutes your information like your name, address will come to the right and SMS will also be sent to the mobile number you have entered.

The beneficiary does not need any special card for the PMJAY scheme. The beneficiary will have a “Lifetime Help Desk” in each of the government and private hospitals associated with the scheme only to establish their identity. Where the beneficiary must prove his / her eligibility, documents. Once the eligibility has been proved, the beneficiary will not have to spend a single rupee for the treatment up to 5 lacs.

Currently PMJAY scheme does not apply in Delhi, West Bengal, Orissa, Kerala, Telangana and Punjab! Because such a scheme is applicable in some of those states, and some states want their own scheme.
Major diseases and surgeries included in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana
Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, every poor citizen of the country will get the benefits of major illnesses and major operations as well as hospitalization. The operation included bypass surgery, cataract, corneal grafting, orthoplasty, chest fracture, urological surgery, cesarean delivery, dialysis, spine surgery, brain tumor surgery and various cancer surgeries. There will be a total benefit of 1350 types of surgery, examination and procedure. The poor family will have the benefit of the scheme for women as well as the unborn child after marriage.

Ayushman will help a friend

A special person has been designated in each hospital by the National Health Agency, named Ayushman Mitra, to assist the hospitalized citizen under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Aushayam Mitra will help in completing all the procedures from the patient to admission to discharge, besides working as a link between hospital, government and insurance company.
All transactions will be paperless-cashless, the amount will be credited to the beneficiary's account.
In this age-old Bharat Yojana, all patient related transactions will be paperless and cashless. For this, through the participation of the Policy Commission, an IT The platform will be operational. In addition, the amount received to the beneficiary will be deposited directly into the account by direct debit transfer. The Central Government will incur 60% of the cost to the beneficiary and 40% of the cost to the State Government.
