Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar and Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar along with Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad briefed about the Cabinet decision.

The central government on Wednesday announced three major plans to boost the economy.  It has two announcements pertaining to the digital economy.  One of these is the public Wi-Fi network access scheme 'PM Vani'.  The aim is to extend the Wi-Fi network to every village.

Another plan is to provide 4G network in Arunachal Pradesh and fiber cable in Lakshadweep.  At the same time self-reliance scheme has also been approved.  Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar and Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar gave information at the press conference.

Under it, the government will open a Public Data Office (PDO), for which no license of any kind will be required.  Any existing store will be converted to a data office.  The government will allow the center to open in 7 days for data office, data aggregator, app system.

Wi-Fi will be available as soon as you download the app

The Union Minister said that there was a huge potential for digital education in the hinterland.  For this anyone has to download the app once.  It can then take WiFi from any public data office.  The advantage will be that people will use high-speed internet.  New business will start.  Children in villages will be able to download books from the internet.  Will be able to get education with the help of Wi-Fi.  The rate of its use will also be fixed.  The government will not intervene.  How much this feature will cost will be left to the market.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the islands of Lakshadweep would also be connected with fiber connectivity.  Connectivity from Cochin to 11 islands of Lakshadweep will be reached in 1000 days.

Approval of Self-Employed India Employment Scheme

Union Minister Santosh Gangwar informed that a self-reliant India employment scheme will be implemented in the country.  Under which Rs 22,000 crore will be invested by the year 2020-23.  About 58.50 lakh employees will benefit under this scheme.  From March 2020 to next year, the government will contribute to the EPF of those who have joined the job.  The government will provide 24 per cent EPF contribution to a company with less than 1000 employees.

The special thing about the plan

• The scheme will cover employees whose monthly salary is less than Rs 15,000
• Under the scheme, the government will provide 24 per cent EPF to the employees employed from October 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
• Organizations with 1000 or fewer employees will be covered under this scheme.
• The government will contribute 12 per cent to organizations with more than 1,000 employees.
• In addition, consideration is being given to re-employing those who lost their jobs during Corona.
• If an organization with 50 employees hires 2 new people, it will benefit.
• An organization with more than 50 employees will have to employ 5 people, which will benefit the scheme.

According to Santosh Gangwar, when the Modi government came to power, there were 6 crore jobs in the organized sectors, now the employment in this sector has increased to 10 crore.  In addition, the Union Cabinet has approved the USOF scheme in two districts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam.  Asked about the farmers' movement and agricultural laws, he said the government was seeking a solution through dialogue with farmers.

1. Interest rate does not change on account default

According to the scheme, it is necessary to deposit Rs. 250 every year.  If not credited, it will be considered a default account.  The account cannot be reactivated under the new rule.  Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana earns 7.6 per cent interest.  The interest rate at the post office is 4% for a savings account.

2. Account can be closed ahead of time

According to the new rules of the scheme, in case of death of the daughter, permission has been given to close the Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana prematurely.  In the old rule the account could be closed in 2 positions.  One is the death of the daughter and the other is the change of address.

 

3. Rule of account opening for more than 2 daughters

Depending on the scheme, an account can be opened for more than 2 jikris.  Even if daughters are born after the birth of a daughter, an account can be opened for her.  According to the new rule, to open an account for more than 2 daughters, an affidavit has to be submitted along with the birth certificate.

4. Rule of account operation

Under the new rule, a daughter will not be allowed to operate an account until she is 18 years old.  Under the old rule it was allowed for this in 10 years.  Now the account holder will be able to operate it only after 18 years.  Documents have to be submitted to the bank or post office at the age of 18 at this time.

5. This is another change

The new rule removes the facility to change the wrong interest in the account.  Apart from that the interest in the account will be credited at the end of the financial year based on the new rules.

Dr. Ambedkar Housing Scheme

The government has increased the housing scheme by 70 per cent.

Under Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Awas Yojana, 142 castes of Bakshipanch, 40 nomadic and emancipated castes and approximately 58 unnamed golden castes as well as 36 Scheduled Castes under Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana are currently receiving assistance of Rs. 70,000 to build their houses. This assistance has been increased by Rs. 50,000 or 70 per cent.  Presenting to Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani and Finance Minister Nitinbhai Patel to establish compatibility with the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme of Rs. 1,20,000, the Gujarat State Housing Scheme will also provide assistance of Rs.  1,20,000 Will be provided.

The purpose of the scheme

Scheduled Caste Homeless, Open Plot, Uninhabitable Raw Mud and for building a house on the first floor.  1,50,000 is paid in three installments. Out of Rs.1,50,000 assistance, first installment - Rs. 50,000, second installment - Rs. 50,000 and third installment - Rs. 50,000 / - is given.

Terms and Conditions

Beneficiary should not have availed benefits under any other housing scheme implemented by the Government by the beneficiary or other family members of the beneficiary.

To get a PVC Aadhaar card, you need to pay Rs.  This card has to be the same size as any normal credit or debit card.  And this price includes the cost of both printing and delivery of the card.  People who have linked Aadhar card with their number and those who have not linked mobile number with their Aadhar card can also get this card with alternative mobile number. 6. Click ‘Send OTP’.

7. Tick ‘Terms and Conditions’ after approval.  (Note: Click on the hyperlink and see the details)

8. After completing the ‘OTP’ verification process, click Submit.

9. After clicking on ‘Make payment’ you will reach the payment gateway, where you will get the option of Credit / Debit Card, Net Banking and UPI.

Points to Remember

• You cannot download Aadhaar if your mobile number is not registered with UIDAI.
• UIDAI sends OTP to the registered mobile number for authentication before allowing you to download the pdf Aadhaar card.
• You cannot download Aadhaar card without OTP.
• You can download e-Aadhaar as many times as you want.
• Downloaded e-Aadhaar can be used in place of your original Aadhaar card everywhere.
• After downloading the online Aadhaar, one can get its print out by entering the password.

Step 5. Download e-Aadhaar PDF

To open the e-Aadhaar PDF file, you will need to enter a password. Your password will be the first four letters of your name along with your birth year. Ensure the letters of your name are entered in capitals. For instance, if your name is THOMAS and your birth year is 1989, your password will be THOM1989.

• Keep your enrolment slip handy.
• Log in the official UIDAI website, https://uidai.gov.in/.
